• Lives in Newington, Conneticutt USA, but he also owns a house in Marlboro, NJ.  While in St. Petersburg, he lives with his mother and grandmother in an apartment (flat) there.
• Trains in Newington, at the CT International Skating Center until the 2002 Winter Olympics.
• His skates are John Wilson - he says he always is breaking his boots because he 'considers' himself a heavy skater.
• Graduated school in Russia with Honors, completing second in his class.
• Collects stamps; and before he was twelve he collected cigarette packs and the labels on beer bottles.
• Never really took dance but studied ballet when he was young, and hated every minute of it.  He says he loves to dance on the ice, but off the ice he has two left feet.
• Parents divorced when he was 12 years old and he has very little/or no interest in knowing his father (who lives in Germany). 

Hobbies: Loves to play tennis, soccer, and golf.  Takes saunas (which is very common in Russia), watches movies and tv, and LOVES to drive around in cities.  And let's not forget his fishing fetish.
